Matariki Animation

Today we learnt about matariki in writing. I found it easy to think of a story of matariki because last year we had to do drawings of a matariki story. I found it hard to insert my background because i had to keep on copying it and putting it into another slide and it took forever.

Today we learnt how to work together on one doc. I found it easy to discuss together our element because we all chose the earth element and not the other 3 element. I found it hard to discuss our animal because some one wanted to do a llama and the other two wanted to do a hedgehog. Next time we should not add to many rocks on the hedgehogs back

Hi my name is Alexis i’m a year 6 in Awapuni School. I am Moari and i have four sisters. Tretana,Shaz,Jodeci,and Aaliyah. I can speak some Moari but all of my family can do it better than me.

This year I've learnt how to snorkel and use flippers for the marine reserve last term. I feel like I'm getting better at drawing people or animated characters. So far I'm enjoying all the different things that we are learning. I’m challenging myself to become an amazing drawer like my older sister.


This year I'm looking forward to camp and kapa haka, and the electives. I feel like I've achieved my goal of becoming a better speller, which i was supposed to do last year but i couldn't. My dad has inspired me because he is super nice and he can build anything so i wanted to try that when i’m older like 15 or 17.
